Frequently Asked Questions

Sending Film

How do I send film to you?

You can drop off in-store during business hours—our team will take care of the rest.

If you prefer to mail your film, place your order online, then:

  1. Pack rolls or disposable cameras in a padded mailer or small box.
  2. Include your name, phone, and order # inside the package.
  3. Ship with a trackable carrier.

Questions? Call (210) 377-3686 or email customerservice@digitalprolab.com.

What types of film do you develop?

We develop 35mm, 120, and 220 in C-41 and B&W process. For additional film types or process types, drop off in-store or contact the lab to discuss available options not listed online.

Are there any special packaging instructions for mail-in orders?

  1. Keep rolls in canisters/sleeves; place together in a small zip bag to guard against moisture.
  2. Use a padded mailer or small sturdy box; add cushion so nothing rattles.
  3. Include your order #, name, and contact info inside; use a trackable carrier.

Do you process disposable cameras?

Yes. Choose the Disposable Camera option when ordering and send the entire camera.

Scans & Files

How do I receive my scans, and what formats do you provide?

When your scans are ready, you’ll receive an email from customerservice@digitalprolab.com with a download link (per roll). Our standard delivery format is JPEG. Need a different file type (e.g., TIFF) or WeTransfer? Let us know—additional time may apply.

I didn’t get my scans—can you resend them?

Login to your dplfilm.com account and check Galleries for your uploaded scans.

  • Check spam/promotions and search your inbox for “Digital Pro Lab”.
  • Confirm the email on your order/account.
  • Still missing? Contact us with your order # and we’ll resend the link.

Call (210) 377-3686 or email customerservice@digitalprolab.com.

Do you have different scan resolutions?

Yes. Our standard scan is Medium at 2000×3000 @ 300dpi. You can upgrade to High at 4000×6000 @ 300dpi for larger output; this option is available at an additional cost. Choose the size that fits your needs when ordering.

Negatives & Prints

Do you return my negatives? How are they cut?

We return negatives by default unless you tell us otherwise at checkout. For 35mm, choose 4-frame strips or long roll (uncut). For 120/220, long roll (uncut) is available; cut options aren’t offered.

Can I order prints from my film?

Yes—add prints when ordering film processing, or order reprints & enlargements later from your scans/negatives. If you’re processing 35mm C-41 film, we encourage you to take advantage of our Film Lover's Special for the best deal!

Ordering & Payment

What payment methods do you accept? Do you require payment upfront?

We accept most major credit/debit cards and Apple Pay for online or in-store orders. Cash is also accepted for in-person payments. Full payment is required upfront before your order moves into processing.

How do I check my order status or contact support?

We’ll email you as soon as the lab marks your order ready—please keep an eye on your inbox. For any questions, comments, or order-status help, call (210) 377-3686 or email customerservice@digitalprolab.com.

Refunds & Issues

What is your policy for blank rolls or issues with an order?

If a roll turns out blank after developing, we only charge the development cost. Any additional services on that roll (like scans or prints) are refunded, minus the development charge. We can’t offer free development, but we aim to be fair—please reach out and we’ll help.
